I'm affraid that that is not correct, see: https://manual.joomla.org/docs/get-star ... uirements/Just make sure your hosting meets Joomla 5's requirements (PHP 8.1+ and MySQL 5.7+).
For Joomla 5:
PHP recommended 8.3, minimal 8.1.0
MySQL recommended 8.1, minimal 8.0.13
